Getting the Help You Need to Become Ready to InterveneAn addict does not have to want help or to have reached bottom in order for you to help. You might already have read on my home page that an addict does not have to want help or to have reached bottom in order for you to help. You and others who care about your addicted loved one do not have to stand helplessly by and watch him or her get worse. However, the actions and ways of being that are necessary for success in getting an addict to accept treatment are not ones we are used to They can take us out of our comfort zone. I sometimes think the best service I offer is helping people to move through their questions, doubts and fears so that they become empowered to act. Remember that your loved one cannot see the reality of his situation on his own. Without your help, he has no option other than to continue on the path that is harming him, you and who knows how many others. I offer a simple initial consultation session that can answer your questions and help you to determine if you can become ready to act effectively on behalf of your addicted loved one. We can start where you are in the process and work at your pace. You can take your time making any decisions you need to make. Whether you elect to begin the intervention process or not, you will know more and will have a clear idea of your various options.
